i had a few drinks and learned some new tricks on the fixie. my new tires should be in tomorrow! i have two shitty days of work coming up then a three day weekend. im going to watch lost in translation and go to bed.
i watched a man die tonight at work. the dude hung himself in his cell and i was part of the cell extraction team that went in and cut him down. i cant say this event has really fucked me up or saddened me in any way. the man wanted to die and he successfully killed himself, i had no way of stopping him. but i will say after it was all over with and the reality of the situation sunk in it made me take a step back and see that i could live to be 100 or die right now as i type this. either way if i dont mahe the most of life while i can im fucking myself. we all know this but it seems like it takes an event like this to put us back in check.

My brother and I are hosting another event presented by our shop, Hardcore Sportz. Be here if you enjoy riding bikes, or if you own a bike and would like to just watch. Last year we had 100 riders and we’re looking to top that for ‘09.
I have never blogged before so for my first one I’m just going to tell everyone about my day. I woke up today at 1:30 pm with a horrible stomach ache. I work nights at a prison (6 pm to 6:30 am) so 1:30 is pretty early for me. I layed around for a while until my stomach ache went away. Around 3:30 after a shower and brushing my teeth I headed down to hardcore sportz to kick it with everyone for a while. I also had to put in some work on my new fixed gear road bike to get it dialed in. around 6:00 pm I went to one of the local Mexican joints and had some tacos. After that I went back to hardcore sportz to finish up my bike work and hang out until they closed at 9 pm. When they closed me and a few others went out and rode the streets of New Castle. Me and Karl rode our fixed gears and everyone else rode their bmx’s. It ended up being a pretty fun and productive session. We ended the night with dinner at steak n shake around midnight. Now I’m at home about to watch the hangover and hit the sack. I’m going to try to ride some tomorrow before work.
